Your room conditions

This is a planning guide. The technical data sheet on your paint is always the final authority.

What are good painting conditions?

Typical indoor conditions: around 18–22°C and 40–60% relative humidity. This is the most comfortable range for most water-based wall paints to dry and recoat predictably.

Cool or damp conditions: below 15°C or above 70% humidity can noticeably slow drying. Below 10°C, many products should not be applied at all; check the label before starting.

Useful tips: keep steady ventilation, avoid direct heat on fresh paint, and do not close windows in a very humid room. The paint can may specify a different temperature or humidity limit, which always takes priority.
